Stop Pleasing Man

Mama, you’re not in control. It's time to surrender so you can soar.

Here’s the deal—Surrender so you can Soar. This means to open your clenched fists and let go OR slide over from the driver seat to the passenger side. Your life is a journey and it’s time to start enjoying the ride. It's time to flow and match Jesus' steps.

TRUTH: You are not in control anyway.

Surrender what? EVERYTHING. Your false identity, choices, marriage, gifting, fear, past, failures, success, expectations, burdens, perspective, family, relationships, control, happiness, health, outbursts, people pleasing, giving, service, business, home…ALL of it.

Humble yourself and watch what happens.

Memorize this verse:

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Jesus will do things through you you never dreamt possible if you surrender control, keep your eyes on HIM, and please HIM only. Focus on an audience of one (Jesus) and watch the fear of man dissipate.

Mama, you’ll pick up that pen, paintbrush, dance shoes, or microphone and create masterpieces together in your truest identity when you decide to perform for Jesus only. When you realize you have nothing to prove and everything to give.

You’ll experience happiness, peace, and freedom that will surpass all understanding. You’ll talk, look, feel, and behave surrendered.

So, Mama, remember these reminders:

  1. You are not in control. Jesus is.

  2. Stay armored in the Word. Jesus will help you.

  3. Pray without ceasing. With Jesus.

  4. You are a warrior. Jesus is in you.

  5. Humility comes before Wisdom. Jesus knows best.

  6. The audience of One, Jesus. Eyes on Jesus.

Let me know which reminder you struggle with the most (remembering #1). Next, let me know which reminders helped you the most (#4 and #6 for me). If you have a question about any of them or an addition please message me. I want to hear from you.
