6 Tips to help you be the BEST MOM

Mama, You need to do You (AKA BE YOU). Not anyone else.

Do you find yourself trying to be like your Mom, Grand-Mom, school pick-up line Mom, bleacher Mom, or the Mom down the street? Comparison is the thief of JOY.

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Here’s the thing —- your kids need their Mom. That’s you. The one you see in the mirror. Not somebody else’s Mom. You Mama.

You are the perfect Mom for the job. Hand-picked and assigned. Beautiful in every way. Rise UP and Walk Out who you are called to be. Your Destiny is waiting.

Who cares if your younger kid spilled milk, talked back earlier, didn’t flush the toilet, left toothpaste in the sink and socks don’t match? Again. So your big kid forgot to call you back, left your gas tank empty, and ate the ingredients needed for dinner. Does it really matter?

You are still the Mama for the job and doing your best. Please tell me I’m not alone.

Mama give yourself grace. Trust the Mom in you and encourage her. You’re not perfect but you are in the process. Daily growing. Hug her. Wrap your arms around her. Forgive, release, and bless her. Okay them too. Come ON yes you can.

Now you’re ready to do and BE YOU, Mama. The true YOU. Not someone else. Your family wants you not the Mama behind, beside, or in front of you. Just YOU.

Walk out your Mama duties with an extra pep

in your step with these 6 tips:

  1. Take care of yourself: As a mom, it's easy to get caught up in taking care of your family and neglecting your own needs. Remember to take time for yourself, whether it's going for a walk, taking a relaxing bath, or doing something you enjoy.

  2. Set boundaries: It's important to set boundaries with your children and others to avoid feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Learn to say "no" when necessary and delegate tasks to your partner or other family members.

  3. Pray without Ceasing: God loves you and your kids more. Let the Jesus in you shine bright showing love, empathy, and respect to your children while staying in step with Holy Spirit. Ask before you speak or take any kind of action and have FUN.

  4. Connect with other moms: Connecting with other like-minded moms can provide a support system and a sense of community. Join our Walk It Out Tribe, parenting groups, attend playdates, and Bible studies, or participate in online forums.

  5. Be present: Make an effort to be present and engaged when spending time with your children. This means putting down your phone or other distractions and really focusing on your children and their needs.

  6. Keep learning: Being a mom is a constant learning process, so keep reading, asking questions, and learning about parenting techniques, child development, and other topics that interest you. This can help you become a more informed and effective parent.

Remember, being a Mom is not easy, in fact, it's the best leadership training you'll experience, but with love, patience, and perseverance, you are the best mom for your children.

REMINDERS:

You've been hand-picked.

You have what it takes.

Just be YOU.

WALK in your true identity.

Let me know which tip you're focusing on from above that's helping you put one foot in front of the other. I'm focused on #2, #5, and #3 with an attitude of gratitude this season.
