7-Step Guide on How to Pray

Mama, all of your prayers matter.

Here’s the deal—your prayers, countless tears, worship, journaling, asking, waiting, obstacles, tests, decrees, and declarations matter.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Praying for your family and others is non-negotiable. If you’re not praying, who is? Here's a simple 7-step guide on how to pray for your family and friends:

  1. Find a Quiet Space: Choose a peaceful and quiet place where you can concentrate without distractions.

  2. Set Your Intention: Begin with a moment of reflection. Think about your family and friends, their well-being, and what you wish to pray for. You can pray for their health, happiness, safety, or any specific needs they have.

  3. Express Gratitude: Start your prayer by expressing gratitude for your family, and friends and the love and support they provide.

  4. State Your Intentions: Clearly state what you are praying for. This could be protection, guidance, good health, peace, or any specific needs of family members. Be specific and heartfelt in your requests.

  5. Pray for Each Member: Take time to pray for each family member individually. You can mention their names and offer prayers for their unique needs and well-being.

  6. End with Gratitude: Conclude your prayer with praise and thanksgiving for hearing your prayers. Take the time to be quiet. Listen. Wait for God to respond. Journal.

  7. Personal Closing: End your prayer in Jesus name, Amen 🙏.

Remember that there is no one "right" way to pray for your family. The only way you mess prayer up is by not doing it. The key is to speak from your heart and be sincere in your intentions.

“Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Pro-tip Prayer Reminders:

What you expose your children to matters.

Standing on the word matters.

Knowing the word matters.

Knowing who you are and who you belong to matters.

Confession matters.

Receiving matters.

Walking in step with Jesus matters.

Sharing the good news matters.

Trust the process. It’s worth it.

Your home is your ministry as well as those attached to you.

Walk it out with those who speak life into you. Those that challenge you. There’s always more.

Take the step. It’s worth it.

Fight for your family. It’s worth it.

Remember scripture is your sword and when you speak along with your prayers you move mountains. Please read it, learn it, memorize it, and use it.

Message me and tell me which scripture, step, or reminder above speaks the most to you. Personally, I do not ever want to quench the Holy Spirit which is why I have to pray without ceasing.

Walk by faith, one step at a time.
