S.N.A.P. yourself back on track with the words you speak 🗣
👑S - stop, separate, submit
👑N - note Holy Spirit is with you
👑A - ask Holy Spirit to help you
👑P - praise HIM
It's important to remember that everyone makes mistakes. We all say or do things we shouldn't. Here are 7 SNAP tips to help you speed up your recovery time and get back on track:
Accept Responsibility: Acknowledge your mistake and take responsibility for it. Avoid making excuses or blaming others. Forgive yourself and others quickly and ask for forgiveness. HINT: Unforgiveness blocks freedom and holds you hostage.
Learn from your error: Understand what trigger led to the mistake and what you can do differently next time to prevent it. Often times it's not the actual event, but what occurred prior.
Stay Calm: Always call your spirit man forward and command your soul and flesh to step aside. Your soul is made up of your mind, will and emotions. Use your voice and tell your mind, will and emotions they are of Christ. This will help you refrain from letting your emotions overwhelm you. Take a deep breath and stay calm. This will help you think more clearly.
Seek Guidance: Holy Spirit is your best coach. If it's a complex issue, seek advice or guidance from someone you trust or who has expertise in the area.
Stay Positive: Maintain a positive mindset. Focus on your progress and what you can achieve rather than dwelling on past errors.
Take Action: Start implementing your plan immediately. The sooner you take action, the faster you can get back on track.
Stay Persistent: Expect setbacks, but don't let them deter you. Keep moving forward, and remember that persistence is key to success.
Remember, making mistakes is a natural part of life, and they often provide valuable learning experiences if you let them. Use them as opportunities for growth and self-improvement.
The 7 SNAP tips will help you to recover quicker and react less. Who doesn't want that? More importantly is this important piece of scripture. You have been forgiven so why not forgive yourself and others? It's not hard, but you do have to use your voice which goes right back to the verse above.
Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
It's incredible what God can do if you get out of the way. Eyes off of you, your situation or circumstances, and on Jesus who will point you to others who need the Jesus in You. You're not the point, HE is.
Are you willing SNAP? Be truthful. The 7above are just a few examples. Ask God to show you which one above you need to focus on in this season. When you go low, HE goes higher.
Jesus will do things through you you never dreamt possible if you surrender and say only what HE wants you to say and do. Others need the Jesus in you to shine bright. Be the example. Hold your tongue, turn your cheek, be the first to forgive, extend a helping hand. It's not easy, but worth it.
