Relationships Matter

Mama, Just Love one another.

Here’s the deal—we’re commanded to love others as we love ourselves. This means those easy AND hard to love. Oof.

The easy ones are just that Easy to love, but the ones who have hurt, betrayed, cheated, or lied to us? They're definitely hard to love.

WALKING out our journey with God requires a humbled heart. Jesus never said it would be easy, but did say worth it. Please tell me I’m not alone.

John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬ ‭NLT

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.”

‭‭

God brings people into our life for many different reasons (encourage, support, refine, teach, share, laugh, commune, learn, etc). Some relationships last a lifetime and others a season. There’s always a lesson if we have the courage to ASK what Holy Spirit wants us to know.

Sit still and listen. It’s not about what’s wrong with others, it’s what Jesus wants to reveal in us so our steps with HIM are in sync.

If we surrender what we think we know (hint: lay down pride), God will remove the lies we’re believing and replace them with brand new true identities.

Per GotQuestions.org article What does it mean to surrender to God, Surrender is a battle term. It implies giving up all rights to the conqueror. When an opposing army surrenders, they lay down their arms, and the winners take control from then on. Surrendering to God works the same way. God has a plan for our lives, and surrendering to Him means we set aside our own plans and eagerly seek His.

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope.”

God brings people and relationships in and out of our lives for a reason. Pay attention to those around you and do your best to simply love like Jesus.

Take the step to remove the padlock of your heart letting go of what you think you know. God's plan, per scripture, is always better. Our job is to love others like Jesus loves us, no matter what.

Relationship Reminders:

1. Appreciate and LOVE the relationships you have (God brought them).

2. Make an effort to repair any broken relationships (go first). Everyone makes mistakes.

3. Let go of relationships if directed (Release, Bless, Forgive).

4. Welcome those who step into your life.

Let me know which reminder you struggle with the most (for me it's #3). Next, let me know which reminders help you the most (#1 and #4 for me). I want to hear from you!!

WALK with us, we WALK by Faith

One Step at a Time,
